Toshiba Not Working

Toshiba has been into the manufacturing and selling of electronics products since late 1800s. Since then it has advanced and transformed and introduced the new electronic products to the world.

Toshiba has also introduced the laptops.These stand among the top brands in the world.However, sometimes there could be the issues due to which the Toshiba not working, then there might be following cases:

  1. Keyboard is malfunctioning
  2. Type mismatch between keys pressed and the characters that prompt on the screen.
  3. Malfunctioning of touchpad/trackpoint

Keyboard is malfunctioning :

  1. You need to reboot the computer. All you need to do is press and hold the power button. This turns off the unit powers.
  2. If you have added any external peripheral, then, remove it.
  3. If keyboard starts working after removing external peripherals, then, you need to check which external peripheral is the cause of failure and do not use that again.
  4. Check the Caps lock key by pressing it, if it works properly, then, go for Next step.
  5. If you have not used any external PS/2 or USB keyboard, use it. If it external keyboard is working then go for further troubleshooting step.
  6. Make a Bios update by using any external keyboard. Once done with the BIOS update, check if internal keyboard works after the firmware update.
  7. If liquid poured over the keyboard? What you can do is remove the battery.
  8. Turn off the machine for a few hours.

Malfunctioning of touchpad/trackpoint:

  1. Reboot the computer as mentioned in above steps.
  2. Check for steps 2 and 3.
  3. Connect any external mouse to check if an external mouse is working or not.
  4. Click on “Mouse properties” and check if it enabled. If it is not then disable it.
  5. Reinstall the latest drivers. All you need to do is remove the mouse from “Device Manager” in the Control Panel and reinstall by downloading it.
